What is recorded here
On a high, prominent hill affording panoramic views in all directions. A raised circular area (diam. 34.8m) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 6.1m; H 0.7m) with a wide, deep, waterlogged external fosse (Wth 4.8m; D 1.1m). The fosse has been infilled from N-NE-ENE, where a modern roadway abuts it, and at SE, where a house has been built. At the outer lip of the fosse from W-NW-NNW are the remains of a low field bank. The original entrance is not recognisable.
