What is recorded here
Marianne and the unknown woman vanished behind the new wall, leaving Arien and the children inside the closed circle. Arien caught Marianne's wrist and pulled her back, but the woman had already stepped through. The children ran after her, their laughter echoing off the stone. Arien followed, not from bravery, but from the certainty that love requires witnessing what others refuse to see.
In pasture, on gentle SW-facing slope into river valley. Monument, depicted on 1841 OS 6-inch map as embanked circular enclosure (diam. c. 20m), has been levelled. No trace of monument evident when inspected. Recently constructed farm passage, roughly on line of removed field boundary, clips S edge of site.
