Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Cartron (boyle By., Crossna Ed) is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Cartron (boyle By., Crossna Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. The D-shaped grass-covered area measures 23.5m NE-SW and 18.5m NW-SE on a shelf of a S-facing slope. A gapped earthen bank 1.5-2m wide defines the perimeter, with internal and external facing-stones at NE and traces of an external fosse visible as a band of rushes S-W-N. An overgrown NE-SW field bank truncates the monument at SE.
On a shelf of a S-facing slope. D-shaped grass-covered but poached area (dims 23.5m NE-SW; 18.5m NW-SE) defined by a gapped earthen bank (Wth 1.5-2m; int. H 0.2-0.3m; ext. H 0.45m) with internal and external facing-stones at NE, and traces of an external fosse (Wth 2-2.5m) visible as a band of rushes S-W-N.
