Fairy fort in Ballythomas East: a 52-metre earthen ring on level pasture, its bank still standing a metre high around a waterlogged ditch. People may have lived there, or abandoned it and let the field take it back. The gaps in the bank still point east and south, as if waiting for someone to remember the way through.

In pasture, on level ground. Roughly circular area (52m E-W; 49.3m N-S) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.05m), with external waterlogged fosse (D 0.45m). Gaps in bank to ENE and S; stone facing noted to SSE and W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
