Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballynacurragh

Ballynacurragh holds a forgotten chamber where human fire and fairy witness still entangle. The oval rath measures twenty-five metres along its longest axis, yet grass and thorn have swallowed most of its edge. A narrow gap remains visible on the north side, not a door but a place where the bank thinned before vegetation claimed it. The field around it is ordinary pasture, while the mound itself refuses to be fully seen. What was built there has not disappeared, only become harder to find.
