Carrignabeast is an anomalous stone group in Estersnow, County Roscommon, Ireland. Two large red conglomerate stones sit side by side on the southwest edge of an overgrown field bank atop a broad drumlin. The northern stone measures 2.1 metres long, 1 metre wide and 0.7 metre high, while the southern stone reaches 2.6 metres long, 1.4 metres wide and 0.7 metre high. Local tradition holds that St Patrick turned two serpents into these stones, and the site appears only on the 1914 Ordnance Survey six-inch map.

Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and situated on top of a broad drumlin. Traditionally regarded as two serpents turned to stone by St Patrick (O'Flanagan 1931, vol. 1, 112). Two large red conglomerate stones are incorporated side by side on the SW side of an overgrown NW-SE field bank. The N stone (L 2.1m; Wth 1m; H 0.7m) is immediately adjacent to the S stone (L 2.6m; Wth 1.4m; H 0.7m). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
