Hut site in Erneen

In rough hill pasture, on the S-facing slopes of Barrerneen and within a network of relict field boundaries (KE103-017003-). The remains of an oval hut site (2.8m N-S; 1.8m E-W) defined by a collapsed drystone wall (T 0.6m; H 0.2m). The lower courses of the wall protrude above the surface of the bog. The level interior is raised (H 0.2m) at S and cut (D 0.2m) into the upslope at N to compensate for the hillslope. Two other hut sites (KE103-017007-, KE103-017009-) are c. 6m to the W and c. 70m to the NE, respectively.
