Enclosure in Gortacloghane (dunkerron South By.)

In rough hill pasture, on blanket bog, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Blackwater River and within a network of field walls (KE082-050002-). A circular area (diam. 5m) defined by a partially collapsed stone wall (T 0.55m; H 1m), which narrows as it rises above the surface of the bog. The enclosure is roughly constructed and there is rubble scattered along the perimeter. A circular arrangement of stones (diam. 2m) in the centre of the interior may be a later addition.
