What is recorded here
In level, rough pasture; conjoined to an enclosure (TS061-035002-) to the E via a shared fosse. A rectangular area (dims. 32m N-S; 25m E-W) defined by an earthen bank (overall Wth 7.45m; Wth at top 1.6m; int. H 0.35m; ext. H 0.7m) to S (L 24m), W (L 30m) and N (L 24m) and by a low scarp (Wth 1.25m; H 0.55m) to E (L 29m). The NE corner is better preserved than the N and E sides. There are three breaks (Wth c. 1.2m) at even intervals in the S bank. The fosse (overall Wth 6.25m; basal Wth 2m; D 0.4m), which is well preserved to the W, is truncated by a relatively modern graveyard wall to the N and is re-cut to the S for drainage purposes. A fosse (overall Wth 7.4m; basal Wth 3.5m; D 0.48m) to the E is shared with conjoined the enclosure to the E. The interior is gently undulating and has rushes across the W half, where a shallow drain (long-axis N-S) is c. 8m from the bank at W.
