In improved pasture on a ridge on the E side of Ballyvaughan valley overlooked by higher ground to the S. Westropp (1901, 283, 1906-7, 459) described ‘a curious “boat-shaped” enclosure, of doubtful age, with five large blocks to the east and four to the west’, close to Caherahooan cashel (CL005-054----).
