Dunmuckrum Stone Ringfort — Report the wrong picture

Thirty-two metres across, Dunmuckrum is a collapsed stone circle sunk into boggy ground in County Donegal. The wall has fallen inward and been swallowed by vegetation, leaving only scattered rock and uneven earth inside. It may have been a human fort, a boundary marker, or a fairy fort as local story claims. The bog has taken what the stones could not hold, preserving the shape but erasing the purpose.

Internal diam. 32m. A circular area surrounded by an overgrown, col-lapsed stone wall. The interior is uneven with rock outcrop and scattered stone. It is situated on a low mound (probably rock outcrop) in a flat boggy area. The above description was derived from the 'Archaeological Survey of County Donegal.
