Old Connaught Graveyard

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Old Connaught Graveyard in Bray holds stones from 1661 to the First World War, including a reset O'Neale headstone and two military markers for men lost in 1918. It opens rarely, during Heritage Week, when visitors can walk its rough ground past chest tombs, iron crosses and plain slabs. The place keeps time in layers: medieval neighbourhood, Catholic memory, imperial war and ordinary family names all buried side by side.
Old Connaught Graveyard is a graveyard in County Dublin, Ireland.
