Indicated is a circular grass and reed-covered ringfort on a drumlin ridge in County Monaghan, Ireland. It sits beside the Black Pig’s Dyke, whose shadow falls across the fort at certain hours. The scarp and hedge still mark its edge, though the entrance has vanished under grass and time. What was kept inside, or from whom it was kept, has gone quiet.

Located at the crest of the S-facing slope of a small N-S ridge that is on the summit of a NE-SW drumlin ridge. A NW-SE section of the Black Pig’s Dyke (MO021-011----) is c. 10m to the NE. This is a circular grass and reed-covered area (diam. 40.7m NW-SE; 39.5m NE-SW) defined by a scarp (H 1.2-1.5m) and hedge E-S-NW, with an outer fosse evident at NW (Wth of top 3m; Wth of base 2.5m; D 0.3m) but replaced by a drain elsewhere. The perimeter is formed by a NE-SW field bank NW-N, and by a low scarp N-E, on the side close to the linear earthwork. The original entrance is not identified.
