Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Drinaun, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a circular grass-covered area on the north-facing slope of an east-west ridge. An overgrown earthen bank and outer fosse define the perimeter, while entrance gaps appear at the northeast and southwest. Two other raths sit within 220 metres to the west-southwest and southeast.

On the N-facing slope of an E-W ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 31.6m N-S; 29.7m E-W) which slopes down to the N (H of slope 1.6m) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (at N: Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.8m) SSW-N-ESE, and an outer fosse (at N: Wth of top 3m; Wth of base 2m; D 0.3m) SW-N-NNE. There are entrance gaps at NE (Wth 5m) and SW (Wth 3m). Rath (RO023-058----) is c. 220m to the WSW and rath (RO023-060----) is c. 210m to the SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
