Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Doonmadden is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Doonmadden, County Sligo, Ireland. It occupies a low north-south ridge in pasture and forms a subrectangular raised area measuring 26.8 metres north-south and 19.5 metres east-west. Traces of an earth and stone bank about 3 metres wide and 0.6 metre high enclose the north, east and south sides, while a modern field boundary defines the west. A wide, shallow depression 3 metres across and 0.3 metre deep lies inside the eastern bank, though its significance remains unknown.
Situated on a low N-S ridge in pasture. Subrectangular raised area (26.8m N-S; 19.5m E-W) enclosed at N, E and S by traces of a bank (Wth c. 3m; ext. H 0.6m) of earth and stone and defined at W by a modern N-S field boundary. Inside the bank at E is a wide, shallow depression (Wth. 3m; D 0.3m) of unknown significance. Compiled by: Patrick F.
