The field system in Doonaltan is in County Sligo, Ireland. A low, curving, disused field bank 3 to 4.4m wide and 0.5 to 1.2m high extends south from a rath for 52m along the spine of a naturally-occurring north-south ridge, then turns east for 35m. A levelled north-south bank outline appears about 20m east of the first bank, and a parallel 15m bank sits 4 to 7m north of the east-west bank's end, possibly forming an entrance. Two hut sites are built against the west face of the north-south bank near where the north-south and east-west banks intersect.

A low, curving, disused field bank (Wth. 3-4.4m; H 0.5-1.2m) extends S from a rath (SL012-003001-) for 52m along the spine of a naturally-occurring N-S ridge. It then changes direction and runs in an E direction for 35m. The outline of a levelled N-S bank, c. 20m E of the N-S bank described above, may be traced. Between 4m and 7m N of the end of the E-W bank is a parallel length of bank (L 15m). This arrangement may represent an entrance feature. There are two hut sites (SL012-003003-; SL012-003004-) built against the W face of the N-S bank and close to the intersection of the N-S and E-W banks. Compiled by: Patrick F.
