The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Donaghintraine is in County Sligo, Ireland. The slightly raised D-shaped area sits on the north side of a low east-west ridge and appears as a circular enclosure on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map. An earthen bank curves along the west and east sides while a modern field fence marks the straight southern edge, leaving no trace of the original enclosure beyond that line. Stone-faced embankment remnants stand near the northeast foot of the bank, and a north-northwest to south-southeast field boundary cuts through the centre where the southern half has been levelled.

Situated on the N side of a low E-W ridge. Depicted as a circular enclosure on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. Slightly raised D-shaped area (23m E-W; 17m N-S) enclosed on the curving side at W-E by an earthen bank (Wth. 4.4m; H 0.6m), and on the straight side at S by a modern field fence on a roughly E–W axis. No trace of the enclosure survives to S of this field fence. At W–NW the bank is levelled to a slight scarp. At NE, c. 2.5m from the outer foot of the bank, are remnants of an embankment (H 0.9m) which is faced with stones on its N side. The interior is bisected roughly centrally by a NNW-SSE field boundary. This appears to be the remains of a circular rath, the S half of which has been levelled. Compiled by: Patrick F.
