Graveslab in Cully leans beside Drumrielly church, its tapering stone preserving a lost English legend in roman capitals. The carving may date to the seventeenth century, when someone believed words should outlive memory. Rain has erased the names and dates, leaving behind a shape that still points toward the end of the church and the beginning of forgetting.

There is a tapering graveslab (Wth 0.47m at W to 0.53m at E; L 1.63m plus) with a legend carved in false relief in the graveyard, N of the E end of Drumrielly church (LE025-057001-). The legend is in English and carved in roman capitals, but it is illegible. However, it could be seventeenth century in date. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 6 July, 2017
