Fairy fort / ringfort in Culleenabohoge is a fairy fort or ringfort in Culleenabohoge, County Westmeath, Ireland. The site is situated at the base of the north-facing slope of a steep hill in grassland, where it was depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a circular-shaped enclosure annotated as a fort. The 1972 ASI site visit recorded the site as levelled, visible at that time as a recently spread area of earth and stone, while a faint crop mark appeared on a Digital Globe aerial photograph taken in November 2011.
Situated the base of the N facing slope of steep hill in grassland. Depicted on the 1837 OS Fair Plan map as a circular-shaped enclosure and annotated as a ‘fort’. Ringfort possible (WM012-018---) 90m to N. This site has been levelled, visible at the time of the ASI site visit in 1972 as a recently spread area of earth and stone. Visible as a faint crop mark on Digital Globe aerial photograph taken November 2011.
