What is recorded here

Indicated is a small irregular crannog floating 170m out in Lough Sheelin, County Cavan, with a second island 30m to the west. It resisted mapping on both the 1836 and 1876 Ordnance Survey sheets, staying hidden from official eyes while people likely fished, hid or lived beside its wooden edges. The lake keeps what surveys forget.
