Standing stone in Crossdrum Lower rises 1.45m from a quiet field in County Meath, three metres from the ditch of a rath. Its rectangular body catches light like a forgotten door, inviting people to imagine the lives that marked time, love or warning upon it. The land remains low and gentle around the stone, as if preserving a conversation older than memory.

Located on a rise in an undulating low-lying landscape and c. 3m N of the fosse of rath (ME008-017001-). This is an upright stone with a rectangular cross-section (dims 0.57m x 0.32m H 1.45m). The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Meath' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1987).
