What is recorded here
Cropmark in County Antrim, Ireland appears as an enclosure, possibly a crannog, but no date or builder is known. The uncertainty itself belongs to the place: a circle or pad on water, built for one person, one family or one stubborn idea about owning a small piece of the lake. Whatever it was, it resisted forgetting long enough to mark the earth.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as Cropmark - Enclosure (possibly crannog?). Recorded period: UNCERTAIN. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
