Mortars and chambers built by human hands still stand beneath Drumnagee. Enclosures and passages shaped the land long before modern roads crossed it. People moved through these places, marked them, and left them behind.
The official Northern Ireland record identifies this as ENCLOSURE (rath?) & Man-made underground passage. Recorded period: E.CHRIST.. The official map point was placed at the centre of the recorded archaeological site from the source map reference.
