Situated in the grass margin between the old and new public road, c. 30m SSE of ringfort (WM025-082----) and c. 40m SW of ringfort (WM025-083----). Monument described in 1971 as a ‘cave’ that was found near a ringfort (WM025-082----) when realigning the public road (local information). According to Glasscock (1974, 230) a Man-made underground passage was found during the construction of a new portion of road near the two ringforts with which it was probably associated. It is described as ‘an entrance, now blocked with boulder, near to the small roadside quarry.’ Compiled by Alison McQueen, Vera Rahilly and Caimin O’Brien. Date of upload: 30 September 2019
