What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Corry (ballintober South By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area spans roughly 36 metres and sits on a flat, low-lying landscape. An earthen bank, hedge, outer drain and slight scarp define most of the perimeter, while a field drain marks the south-west edge. A datestone lay about 50 metres to the south.

Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular feature, and situated on a flat, low-lying landscape. Circular grass-covered area (diam. c. 36m N-S; c. 36m E-W) defined by a field drain S-W and by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 2.5m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.7m) with an outer fosse or silted drain (Wth of base 2.2m; D 0.2-0.4m) W-ENE, while the remainder of the perimeter is defined by a slight scarp (H 0.2m).
