What is recorded here

Indicated is a tiny circular crannog in Drumgorry Lough, County Cavan, standing eighty metres from the shore. It escaped the cartographers who drew Cavan in 1836 and 1876, perhaps because it was so small or hidden by reeds. A place that large a map forgot may have been lived in by people who preferred not to be found.
