Indicated was a thirty-five-metre fairy fort in County Monaghan, marked on an 1834 map but erased before modern memory. Farm buildings now sit where the embankment stood, turning ancient boundary into ordinary utility. The land keeps its shape only in the stories people still tell about the mound.

Situated in a low-lying landscape. An embanked circular enclosure (ext. diam. c. 35m) is depicted on the 1834 edition of the OS 6-inch map where it is truncated at NE by a NW-SW road and where it is described in gothic lettering as a ‘fort’. It was described locally as a mound with trees, but is no longer extant and is now occupied by farm buildings.
