What is recorded here
Kits Green is a buried graveyard hidden beneath an ordinary field at the north end of its townland. Local memory claims the soil holds an old fort or burying place, yet no wall, mound or marker breaks the grass. The dead may still wait underneath, patient and invisible, while livestock and rain treat their secrecy as common.
This is a small field in the N end of the townland. There is a local tradition that it was 'an old fort or burying place' (Healy1975, 23). Not visible at ground level.
