Man-made underground passage in Cloonagleavragh

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Man-made underground passage in Cloonagleavragh is a man-made underground passage in Cloonagleavragh, County Sligo, Ireland. Cloonagleavragh is recorded in the 1995 survey as containing a man-made underground passage within a rath, although no physical trace appeared during later examination and local people offer no tradition about it. The written entry preserves the claim while the absent evidence and silence of the community leave the passage existing only in that official description.
A Man-made underground passage is listed in the RMP (1995) as being within a rath (SL011-073001-). No trace of a Man-made underground passage could be located and there is no local tradition of a Man-made underground passage at this monument.
