What is recorded here
In flat grassland with good views in all directions. Remains of a poorly preserved small semi-circular enclosure (int. diam. 26m SE-NW; 21m E-W) enclosed by an earthen bank (Wth at top 1.5m; overall Wth 3.8m; int. H 0.3m ; ext. H 0.6m) visible at NW only elsewhere reduced to a scarp (H 0.2-0.4m) with slight remains of a shallow fosse (Wth 3m; ext. D 0.2m) at NW only. No entrance feature visible. Enclosure intersected by road at W on a NW-SE axis destroying enclosing element from W to NW and by driveway to the rectory at S on an E-W axis. Interior planted with beech trees which suggests the possibility that this is a landscape feature associated with the nearby Glebe House or an earlier enclosure re-used as a tree-ring.
