Clonconwal Stone Ringfort — Report the wrong picture

Clonconwal is a collapsed stone ringfort on a Donegal limestone ridge, its twenty-metre circle reduced to a shallow collar of broken wall beneath gorse and rush. A modern field wall cuts across the west side, marking the place where human boundary and ancient boundary now overlap. The fort may have been a home, a refuge or a boundary marker, but its stones no longer speak in a language that can be read. What remains is a narrow ridge, a broken circle and the suggestion that people once drew a line around life itself.

Internal diam. 20m. A subcircular area enclosed by a collapsed stone wall. A modern field wall cuts the site on the W side.
