Structure

An irregular spread of brushwood and some twigs (L 1.9m; Wth 1.17m; D 0.11m). The brushwood (diam. 0.012-0.05m) is interspersed with roots. Three metal-cut worked ends were noted and the wood is set in moderately humified Sphagnum peat with ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2002. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
