In June 1959 a short cist containing a cremation was discovered during digging in the garden of a dwelling house. The cist was wedge-shaped in plan, with a long axis aligned N-W/SE (Dims. L 0.44m, Wth. 0. 44m, H 0.25m). The cist was covered by a large capstone (Cahill & Sikora, 2011, Vol. 1, 343-345). Compiled by : Geraldine Stout Date of upload: 28 February 2013

Wedge-shaped cist, likely dating to the Early Christian or Early Medieval period. Its significance lies in the presence of cremation remains, which are relatively rare in Irish funerary contexts of this period.
