Church in Kilgobban

In SW quadrant of possible early ecclesiastical enclosure (13900). Bowman (1934, 18) noted burial ground (14116) and 'grass-covered mounds on the north side [which may] indicate the site of the Church, which was c. 28 feet by 20.' No visible surface trace of burials or church. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000).
