What is recorded here

Indicated is a fairy fort or stone ringfort in Carrownagashel, County Roscommon, Ireland. The circular grass-covered area measures 28.5m north-south and 27m east-west on a low rise towards the bottom of a north-facing slope. A grass-covered stone spread defines the boundary, widening from 1.8m at the east to 5.5m at the west. No visible entrance exists, but an external berm 2-3m wide and a scarp 0.25-0.6m high mark the east-southwest edge.

Circular grass-covered area (diam. 28.5m N-S; 27m E-W) defined by a grass-covered stone spread (Wth 1.8m at E to 5.5m at W; int. H 0.05m at E to 0.3m at W; ext. H. 0.2-0.45m).
