What is recorded here

Lismulcrone is a grassy Galway ringfort where a vanished stone facade may still hold within its earthen bank. The eastern half has surrendered to overgrowth, hiding the boundary between human making and fairy claim. A second fort waits one hundred metres southwest, suggesting a small cluster of lives rather than a lonely marker. The grass keeps both secrets plain, offering no warning and no apology.

In grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 32m) defined by an earthen bank that may have been revetted with stone. The E half of the monument is obscured by overgrowth. Neary (1914, 117, no. 60) classified it as 'A circular, earthen fort' enclosed by a bank and outer fosse; no visible surface trace of the latter survives.
