Boardee lost its standing stone during reclamation, though it once marked a spring where clean water rose through earth. The stone may have guided thirst, witnessed season, or stood beside a house whose name has faded. Removal is not the same as forgetting. It is a claim that the land must serve the living hand, even when the hand has never learned the patience of stones.

According to local information, stone once stood adjacent to spring. Removed during reclamation. (pers. comm. S.
