One chamber wall still stands at Bawn in Bawn, a rigid line beside the road while the rest has become field, memory or forgotten work. It may be the bawn of a seventeenth-century house or the surviving edge of a thirteenth-century Anglo-Norman castle, and that uncertainty gives the stone more life than certainty would. A bawn is not a display; it is a boundary made visible. To walk past it is to touch the moment when a household stopped believing the landscape was safe enough on its own.

Associated with a 17th-century fortified house (LF019-005002-). This bawn wall may be the remains of the curtain wall of a 13th-century Anglo-Norman castle (LF019-005003-). Wall-footings along the NW and NE sides indicate it was a substantial wall (H 0.5m; wall T 1.2m).
