Barrow

In reclaimed wet pasture, one of a group of eleven possible barrows (LI040-026002/008-; 026010-/013-), 120m NE of large impressive barrow (LI040-026001-) and 54m NE of earthwork(LI040-026003-). Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 61.04: AP 5/2101) as a small circular cropmark of a possible ditch-barrow. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. It is part of a possible barrow group, indicating a significant prehistoric funerary or ritual landscape in the area.
