In wet pasture on the floodplains of the Camoge River that forms townland boundary with Rathanny. One of a group of five possible ditch-barrows (LI040-270002/005-), a possible inland promontory fort (LI040-271001) lies 13m to the W. Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified by the Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 138.01, AP 5/2101) as the circular cropmark of possible barrow. Monument visible as a circular cropmark (diam. c. 4m) on OSi orthophotograph taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimages. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age. It is part of a small group of similar barrows, suggesting a local funerary or ritual landscape associated with early farming communities.
