Barrow

In reclaimed wet pasture, one of a group of eleven possible barrows (LI040-026002-/005; 026007-/013) and 130m NW of large impressive barrow (LI040-026001-). Not marked on OSi historic maps. Identified by Bruff aerial photographic survey in 1986 (Bruff 61.01; AP 5/2101) as a small circular cropmark of a possible barrow. No surface remains visible on OSi orthophotograph taken 2005-12. Faint cropmark of possible ditch-barrow with second barrow (LI040-026012-) immediately to SSE visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken 2011-13. Ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age (c. 2000–1500 BCE). It is part of a small barrow group, suggesting a local funerary or ceremonial landscape.
