Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Balrath East is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Balrath East, County Westmeath, Ireland. A 1970 description recorded a slightly uneven circular area 30 metres in diameter enclosed by a steep bank 0.85 metres high and a fosse-like depression. The bank features a causeway at the south-southeast that may represent the original entrance, while the site appears today as a roughly oval-shaped tree-covered earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.

Situated on a small rise, in gently undulating pasture with good views in all directions. Depicted on the 1913 ed. OS 25-inch map as a roughly oval-shaped earthwork. Monument described in 1970 as a slightly uneven circular-shaped area (diam. 30m) enclosed by a steep bank (H 0.85m) and a fosse-like depression. The present state of the fosse is narrow yet steep and appears relatively modern. It swings away from the foot of the scarp at SE. There are indications that there was a shallower fosse before the present trench was made. There is a causeway (overall Wth 7.9m; Wth at top 4.10m) at SSE corresponding to a low part of the bank and which may represent the original entrance. The interior rises appreciably towards a level area in the centre. Monument is visible today as a roughly oval-shaped tree-covered earthwork on Digital Globe aerial photography.
