Altore Wedge Tomb is a wedge-shaped gallery grave built c. 2250 BC in County Roscommon, Ireland. Its south-facing entrance is flanked by two-metre stones beneath a spanning roofstone, admitting people into a dark chamber where ancient bodies may have rested. The effigial tomb tradition continues there through Felimid O'Conor, whose likeness is said to occupy a niche in a later church monument.

An effigy, said to be that of Felimid O'Conor and made c. 1290-1300, is in a niche in the N chancel wall on the side-panels of a 15th century wall monument (RO039-055003-) (O'Gorman 1866; Fitzgerald 1900; Hunt 1974, No. 212). Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
