Embanked enclosure

Marked as a small D-shaped embanked enclosure (ext. dims. c. 25m NE-SW; c. 25m NW-SE) truncated by a WNW-ESE lane at S on the 1839 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, and located in the bottom of a steep-sided SE-NW valley with the headwaters of a stream just to the S. It is visible at ground level as a slightly dished grass-covered area (diam. c. 30m). It may have been a rath.
