The fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballyhane West is in County Tipperary, Ireland. It is a raised circular enclosure, 32 metres across east to west, built with two earth and stone banks separated by a ditch 3 to 4 metres wide and 0.7 metres deep on the outside. The inner bank is poorly preserved in places, reduced to a scarp, while the outer bank is better preserved and clearest from north to east. A possible causewayed entrance 3.5 metres wide is at the east, and the interior follows the natural slope of the hillock, rising from south to north.

On top of a low rise of ground in poorly drained countryside with good views in all directions. A raised circular (diam. 32m E-W) enclosed by two earth and stone banks and an intervening fosse (Wth 3-4m; ext. D 0.7m) best visible from SE through S. A poorly preserved inner bank (top Wth 1.5m; base Wth 2.7m; int.H 0.3m; ext. H 0.8m) has been reduced to a scarp in places while the better preserved external bank (top Wth 1.5m; base Wth 3m; ext. H 0.5m) is best visible from N to E. There is a possible causewayed entrance (Wth 3.5m) at the E. The interior follows the natural slope of the hillock rising from S to N.
