Gateway, erected c. 1890, comprising outer ashlar limestone piers with plinths, carved caps and cast-iron finials to curving ornate cast-iron railings connecting to ornate cast-iron piers with capitals and ball finials, having ornate double-leaf cast-iron vehicular gates.
This ornate late nineteenth-century entrance to Ballinwillin House exhibits fine craftsmanship in the decorative ironwork, and exudes some of the finery and elegance equal to that of the building within.
