Outside N enclosing wall of Mitchelstown Union Work House (14781). Rectangular graveyard (c. 80m N-S; c. 30m E-W) enclosed by low tree-lined earthen bank (H c. 0.5m) to W and N, by substantial overgrown earthen bank (H c. 1.5m) to E and by enclosing wall of workhouse to S. Interior in pasture with low undulations and many uninscribed grave markers. According to local information, last burial in 1916 when workhouse closed.
