Hut site in Ardkearagh

Hut (KE098-088002-): Centrally located in the interior of the enclosure arc the low foundations of a subcircular hut which measure 6m N-S x 5.6m E-W internally. The wall averages 2.1m thick and features external drystone facing. The entrance, .6m wide, is located at NE and is defined by two parallel rows of upright slabs. The interior of the hut is filled with stones and it apparently contained an opening to a now blocked Man-made underground passage (local information). The above description is derived from A.
