In Templemore graveyard (SL034-048002-). One of six slabs (see also SL034-048006-; SL034-048007-; SL034-048008-; SL034-048009-; SL034-048011-) carved with crosses with expanded terminals were identified in 1994 used as grave-markers, within the graveyard but all are now obscured by overgrowth (pers. comm. M. B. Timoney). These slabs have been identified as being Early Christian in date (pers. comm. C. Manning). Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 7 October 2011

Cross-slab in Ardagh is likely from the early Christian period (5th–9th century AD), based on the style of the carved cross with expanded terminals. Such slabs may have served as grave markers or memorials, reflecting Christian burial practices in the region.
