Architectural fragment in Ardagh is an architectural fragment in Ardagh, County Sligo, Ireland. Templemore graveyard holds a window head, chamfered jambs and a limestone block carved into a human head with a projecting chin decorated by shallow radiating grooves. These fragments came from the ruined church beside the graveyard, and the carved head may have formed part of an arch.

In Templemore graveyard (SL034-048002-). A number of architectural fragments were identified in the graveyard in 1994 (pers. comm. Mary B. Timoney). They included a window head, various chamfered jambs (probably from a door and window) and a rectangular block of limestone (0.2m x 0.15m x 0.4m) with one end carved in the form of a human head;the remainder squared-off in section (0.15m x 0.15m; L 0.25m). The facial features are badly eroded but the eyes, nose and mouth are just apparent. A noticeable feature is the projecting chin, the underside of which is decorated with a number of shallow radiating grooves. These fragments undoubtedly derive from the ruined church (SL034-048001-) and carved head may have been a voussoir in an arch. Compiled by: Paul Walsh Date of upload: 7 October 2011
